React Native is a JavaScript framework developed by Facebook that enables developers to create native applications for iOS and Android using React. It allows developers to use the same codebase to create apps on multiple platforms, while still taking advantage of the native components of each platform. It also provides a set of tools and libraries that allow developers to quickly build and deploy their applications.

Mastering Mobile DevOps: Leveraging React Native for High Performance
In the dynamic realm of software development, successful industry leaders share a common proficiency in four pivotal metrics: Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes, Time to Restore Service, and Change Failure Rate. Yet, achieving high performance in these areas within the mobile world presents unique challenges. This talk delves into the depth of best practices and innovative technologies within React Native and mobile DevOps ecosystems, all aimed at our ultimate goal: the continuous delivery of value to our users.

The day I broke React Native
4th November 2022 - It was just a regular day for the "release crew" as we were approaching to prepare the first release candidate for React Native 0.71. Little did we know how an innocuous release could have triggered a domino effect resulting in failing builds for nearly every React Native developer out there.
With the wisdom of hindsight, we'll walk through what happened, what are our lessons learned and the lowlights of this incident. We'll have the opportunity to look through the internals of React Native, discover our incident-response culture, and learn how we're hardening our ecosystem to protect us against similar events in the future.
Join me as we revive this incident, and don't miss this opportunity to gain insights, be inspired, and embrace the lessons learned from the day I broke React Native.

Wait, You're Shipping React Native to the Web?!
This talk focuses on building a production-grade consumer social application - https://guild.host . If you visit that site, would you be able to tell it's built using React Native just by looking and using it?

At a high level, Taz talks about what makes that possible and how the audience should consider application architecture.

At a lower level, Taz focuses on:
- How React's component composition model makes accommodating multiple platforms easy
- How large applications should use a Design System, and the Tamagui Design System comes with an optimizing compiler that outputs straight platform-specific code while the developer still writes high-level UI that happens to utilize React Native's components
- How to Server-Side Render a React Native Web application, and what considerations Guild made when choosing to create a custom SSR engine on top of Cloudflare Workers
- In order for Guild to exist anywhere, they need to embed themselves into other experiences. This involves Third-Party React Native on the Web and other platforms
- The future of this architecture, where Third-Party UI is the same as First-Party UI

“Microfrontends” for Mobile in React Native
Scaling has always been an issue in software development. Architects have been grappling to solve this problem on many layers. In the early 2000s, a concept of “micro-services” started popping up - a system could be split up by business domain into a number of smaller loosely-coupled services.
More recently, this concept has started being adopted by the frontend community. An app could be split into multiple sub-apps, each with their own teams, technologies, and codebases. Companies like Spotify, Amazon, and Microsoft have adopted this approach and it has helped them scale even faster.
In the world of mobile development, the question arises: “Can we create Microfrontends for mobile apps?”.

Code Signing React Native Apps
You've built a React Native app and now it's time to get it in the hands of your users. If you're used to web, dealing with mobile-specific deployment issues can be a struggle. There are native build hardware and config requirements, signing certificates, app store approvals, app versions, pushing updates, and more. You also have to consider all the tooling options -- do you manually deploy on your own, use a React Native-specific solution, or try to configure web CI/CD for mobile? This crash course will outline the build and ship process and review some common tools in the React Native ecosystem so you can feel confident deploying and get back to developing.
